Our client a distributor is current recruiting for a Retail Supply Chain Executive to be based in Dubai.

Job Purpose:

The Travel Retail Supply Chain Executive is responsible for the logistical aspects of the Travel Retail Department: managing the stock holding to ensure adequate stocks levels to service client orders whilst maintaining stock reserves in Company’s local warehouse, calculating and processing the import orders from the brand owners, and processing export orders placed by the Duty Free retailers - the Supply Chain Executive is the primary logistics contact for both the brand owners and the Duty Free retailers, along with the Company’s Logistics & Warehouse team.  The role is also responsible for the reporting the monthly sales both internally and to the brand owners.  With multiple brands and multiple retail clients the role is fast paced and requires, strong organization and high attention to details.  This is an office-based role.  

 

 

Candidate profile:

  • Dynamic ‘can do’ attitude & passion
  • Ability to communicate across multiple levels (brand owners / Duty Free clients /Company’s Warehouse & Logistics team /Company’s managers & executives)
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Highly organised
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking
  • Strong in Excel, SAP knowledge would be an advantage
  • Fluent in English (spoken / written / writing)

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Processing the orders received from the Duty Free retailers efficiently and quickly
  • Informing the Duty Free retailers of discontinued and out of stock references to ensure these references are not included in the client orders, and informing of the new launches availability so the references can be included in the client orders and on shelf as soon as available
  • Calculating the monthly recommended import orders from the brand owners including any new launches to be included and maintaining adequate stock levels in the Company’s warehouse, placing the orders once approved by senior management, and tracking the estimated arrival time so it can be communicated to the Duty Free retailers for inclusion in their orders
  • Maintaining accurate accounts of back orders (both clients & brand owners)
  • Maintaining up to date pricing files (client & brand owners pricing) including new references and point of sale materials in SAP, and subsequently in the client order forms
  • Maintaining trackers for the new launches and gift sets with the forecast quantities received from the clients  
  • Managing and resolving discrepancies in shipping, logging & processing credit notes (both clients and brand owners)
  • Preparing the monthly reports for the brand owners and for the Company’s senior management detailing the sales by brand and by reference
  • Preparing weekly & monthly updates on the Sell In vs the budget
  • Annual physical stock check of stocks in the Company’s warehouse vs the stocks listed in the SAP system
