Description The proposed position will be for a member of a managed services technical team, which is responsible for Wireless network, functions and services related issues (operations, 2nd and 3rd level support). The engineer will be working in a group of IT experts locally and within multiple projects to cover the required services functionalities and availability.
Roles and Responsibilities
Requires travelling based on work needs, when not on site, Engineers will be assisting in the development of project plans, designs and documentation for future sites.
Plan, deploy and improve wireless network projects from the start to the end with collaborating with vendors.
Design, implement and configure WLAN equipment from different vendors such as HPE-Aruba, Cisco, or Brocade (Ruckus).
Help third party vendors during new office deployments with WLAN design, heat-map generation, and wireless controller configuration.
Propose best WLAN solution that will meet customer requirements and needs.
Train in-house engineers and non-technical team members with latest WLAN technologies.
Maintain wireless equipment with latest required software and hardware upgrades.
Use tools and best practice methods to evaluate, test and tweak wireless products.
Validate RF link designs to confirm link performance, quality and reliability.
Design and implement WLANs and other wireless networks.
Prepare HLD and LLD for new scopes, projects or tenders.
Have extensive knowledge of routing protocols (Static, OSPF, and BGP)
Perform spectrum analysis for existing projects and implement recommended and needed changes to achieve approved service levels and equipment capacity.
Apply required configuration changes to client's systems as per approved change management process.
Recommend and develop best practices for new locations
Build out centralized management platform (Airwave, Prime) and add all sites and equipment. Establish monitoring, alerting, and visual dashboards.
Role Knowledge Requirements:
Deep understanding of wireless authentication, security and network management.
Experience in designing and deploying key wireless applications including mobility, VOIP, location-based services, and guest wireless.
Advance knowledge of Aruba WLCs, mobility controllers and all types of indoor and outdoor access points.
Advance knowledge of Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager to control access control with granular role-based policies for authentication, authorization, continuous monitoring and enforcement
Advance knowledge of Cisco ISE for dynamic policy enforcement.
Ability to use different WLAN survey and design tools to generate heat maps and provide optimal AP placement to meet client requirements and KPIs.
Knowledge of the Aruba Remote Access Point (RAP) solution including RAP Controller and RAP AP configuration, and Aruba self-provisioning of RAPs
Advanced Internetworking troubleshooting experience in a large-scale network environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with packet capture and analysis products such as Wireshark.
Experience in utilizing industry standard network management tools such as Solarwinds and PRTG.
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.
Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Required Experience and Certification:
Minimum experience of five years in Wireless engineering is mandatory
