Purpose of the Job

As a Scrum Master, you will be a vital member of one or more use case teams, responsible for embedding Agile practices and creating an environment where the team can function effectively. Your role includes promoting self-organization, eliminating barriers to progress, and ensuring alignment with Agile principles.

  • Guide and support use case teams in Agile methodologies and frameworks.

  • Assist the Product Owner (PO) in articulating and communicating the product vision and scope.

  • Ensure Agile principles and Scrum practices are properly understood and implemented.

  • Shield teams from external distractions to ensure focus and productivity.

  • Provide coaching and mentorship to team members in adopting Agile best practices.

  • Simultaneously support one or more use case teams in their Agile delivery efforts.

Experience / Qualifications Required

  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in Agile environments, including 2–4 years in business technology with proven team leadership.

  • Strong facilitation and communication skills.

  • Proven accountability in delivering results using Agile frameworks.

  • Expertise in Scrum methodology and relevant artifacts.

  • Proactive, results-driven mindset with a strong sense of ownership.

  • Background in software development or technical project management is preferred.

  • Familiarity with development best practices such as continuous integration, deployment pipelines, and DevOps is desirable.

  • Understanding of servant leadership, facilitation techniques, conflict resolution, team empowerment, and continuous improvement.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.


Principal Accountabilities

  1. Ensure the consistent application of Agile and Scrum methodologies across the team.

  2. Coach individual team members on Agile principles and continuous improvement.

  3. Plan and facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

  4. Support the PO in refining and prioritizing the product backlog.

  5. Collaborate with the Digital Agile Lead (DAL) to document lessons learned and ensure knowledge sharing.

  6. Mediate and resolve team conflicts to maintain productivity and morale.

  7. Actively remove obstacles that impede team progress and protect the team from unnecessary external influences.
