Do you have a passion for technology and excel in consumer/retail marketing?

Our Client is looking for a highly skilled B2C marketing professional to join the EMEA South Retail & Online (R&O) Marketing Team to own all aspects of the regional marketing plan for the consumer/retail business across MEA. This will include ownership of channel marketing plans with key retailer partners (both online + offline), management of standalone & retailer co-op campaigns, and the coordination of local through-the-line marketing initiatives (e.g. digital/social media).

You will be based in Dubai, will report to the Senior Manager, EMEA South of Retail & Online Marketing (based in France), and will be part of a global marketing organization.

Job responsibilities

The role requires you to lead the consumer/retail marketing plan across MEA (mainly UAE, Israel, Turkey, KSA, South Africa)
Main responsibilities include:

§ Execution of the R&O channel marketing plan, working directly with key retailers in key MEA countries to implement activities such as in-store displays & training, to-channel and through-channel communications, co-op sell-out campaigns and online initiatives
§ Working hand-in-hand with local sales account teams to develop & execute specific sell-out campaigns for priority partners, agreeing targets for run-rate uplift and measured against these
§ Identifying new opportunities for retail excellence within priority partners to drive incremental sell-out
§ Planning, delivering & measuring the effectiveness of digital campaigns with retail partners, and ensure that the Client's online presence is maximized within partner e-shops/e-commerce sites (brand pages, product detail pages or inclusion in partner online campaigns)
§ Through training & education, creating brand advocates amongst retail sales associate to help tell the brand story and drive sell through
 

§ Management of through-the-line marketing initiatives locally, including (but not limited to) digital retargeting campaigns, social media campaigns and email marketing
 

§ Coordination of the PR plan in collaboration with PR team

 

§ Negotiation & management of the overall MEA R&O marketing budget (including marketing opex, MSF, co-op funds and retail space fees)

 

§ Reporting on retail/online marketing execution and performance against agreed metrics on a monthly basis & attend MEA Quarterly Business Reviews

 

 

Preferred profile

We expect that you have the following competencies and experience:

  • At least 7 years’ experience of working in B2C channel marketing & in-depth understanding of the retail channel landscape in MEA
  • Knowledge of the consumer electronics or telecoms market
  • Solid experience of working in a regional marketing organization, ideally holding a local

or regional role

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    and to budget
  • Excellent negotiation skills & adept at working with customer partners at all levels
  • Experience of setting-up and executing online/digital marketing campaigns & maximizing online brand presence with key retailer partners, with focus on measurable results
  • Experience of working with distributor partner teams to plan & execute channel campaigns
  • Experience of managing MDF or similar marketing funding programmes
  • The ability to work and negotiate within a matrix organisation
  • Fluent in English, Arabic would be a plus
  • Customer centric approach to marketing with a strong knowledge of the sales process and understanding of current trends in the marketplace
  • Passion for marketing and delivering measurable results for regional sales and marketing
