Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Receptionist with proven UAE experience in a hospital or clinic environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our front desk.
Responsibilities:
Patient Reception and Registration:
Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
Accurately register patients, verifying personal and insurance information.
Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures.
Ensure patient confidentiality and adherence to privacy policies.
Appointment Management:
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
Manage appointment calendars and optimize scheduling to minimize patient wait times.
Coordinate with medical staff regarding appointment schedules and urgent cases.
Communication and Information:
Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and inquiries promptly and professionally.
Provide accurate information to patients regarding clinic/hospital services, procedures, and policies.
Relay messages to medical staff and other departments.
Administrative Support:
Maintain organized patient files and records.
Process patient payments and handle billing inquiries.
Manage front desk supplies and ensure a clean and organized reception area.
Perform general clerical duties, including filing, photocopying, and data entry.
Insurance and Billing:
Verify patient insurance information and process insurance claims.
Handle patient co-payments and billing inquiries.
Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
UAE Specific Requirements:
Familiarity with UAE health insurance procedures and regulations.
Knowledge of local healthcare protocols and customs.
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems used in the UAE.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification is a plus.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a receptionist in a hospital or clinic setting within the UAE.
Strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and EMR systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to handle stressful situations with calmness and professionalism.
Fluency in English. Arabic is a plus.
