Our client is looking for a licensed Psychomotor / Occupational Therapist to be based in Dubai, UAE.

Our client is seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychomotor / Occupational Therapist to join their healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing therapeutic services to patients with physical, emotional, or developmental challenges to improve their overall function and quality of life. This role involves assessing patients' needs, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic techniques tailored to enhance their daily living and motor skills.

Key Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment:
Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the physical, emotional, and cognitive needs of patients. Assess motor skills, sensory processing, and the impact of the condition on daily activities.

Treatment Planning & Implementation:
Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, patient goals, and medical needs. Implement therapies to enhance motor coordination, physical function, fine and gross motor skills, and sensory processing.

Therapeutic Interventions:
Provide a variety of psychomotor and occupational therapy interventions including exercises, functional activities, sensory integration, play therapy, and use of assistive devices to improve functional independence.

Progress Monitoring:
Regularly assess and document patient progress, modify treatment plans as necessary, and report updates to medical staff and families. Track patient responses to therapies and adjust methods for best results.

Collaboration with Healthcare Teams:
Work closely with doctors, nurses, physical therapists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care. Communicate effectively with team members about patient progress and treatment plans.

Patient Education & Training:
Educate patients and families about treatment plans, exercises, adaptive techniques, and home modifications to promote independence and improve long-term outcomes. Provide training on the use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology.

Goal Setting:
Help patients set achievable short-term and long-term goals, monitor their progress, and celebrate milestones in recovery.

Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records, including assessment results, treatment plans, therapy sessions, and progress reports in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Therapy Environment Management:
Ensure therapy environments are safe, clean, and equipped with necessary tools and resources for effective treatment. Assist in maintaining therapy equipment.

Professional Development:
Stay informed of the latest trends, techniques, and research in psychomotor/occupational therapy through continuous education and training. Participate in workshops, conferences, and professional networks to improve clinical knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:
A degree in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate) or Psychomotor Therapy from an accredited institution.
Valid licensure/certification to practice as an Occupational Therapist or Psychomotor Therapist, as required by local regulations.
Minimum 5 - 7 years of proven experience in psychomotor or occupational therapy, preferably in a clinical, hospital, or rehabilitation setting.
Experience with children, elderly patients, or individuals with developmental or physical disabilities is a plus.
Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques, interventions, and strategies for improving motor and cognitive functions.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Empathy, patience, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in documenting and maintaining patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Certification in specific therapy techniques (e.g., Sensory Integration Therapy, Hand Therapy) is a plus.
First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.
