Role - Media & Digital Marketing Manager
This is a Contract role under Manpower (December 2021 – Oct 2022)
Job Description
Reporting to the Head of MENA Marketing, the role will be responsible for leading the implementation of the Client’s Brand, Media & Digital marketing strategies to support the achievement of business and brand objectives across MENA. The position will also support the Head of MENA Marketing in managing various creative, digital & media agency relationships, as well as digital strategic partnerships like Facebook & Google
Principle Responsibilities / Key Results Area
Digital & Social Media Marketing Planning
- Drive implementation of the MENA digital marketing focus across all communications and platforms, content management for all digital assets
- Assist in developing integrated digital, mobile, social media programs based on marketing needs
- Help in driving digital innovation agenda through implementing new digital, social, mobile platforms, applications, media and trends into marketing efforts and position the client as a digital leader in marketing in MENA
- Developing content and best practices to support regional marketing teams for client interactions
- Provide consultancy to banks on best practice relating to Digital & Social Media Marketing
- Collaborate with marketing platform partners (Facebook, Twitter, Google) to stay abreast of new trends, products/solutions and ensuring the Client is making the best use of their technologies
- When required collaborate with global and regional teams for digital deliveries
- Ensure all operational aspects of key platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Google content and others) are managed consistent with global guidelines and direction, including frameworks, processes, policies and updates
- Brand & Media Management
- Act as a key resource and centre of expertise for MENA to ensure all communications adhere to brand standards and brand architecture, with oversight of all marketing communication.
- Act as the custodian of brand in MENA.; ensure all communications and programmes adhere to brand standards and brand architecture.
- Provide brand & media related consultancy and support to local business & functional teams
- Provide consultancy to banks on best practices relating to brand & media .
- Work with the media agencies to ensure efficient use of media monies for all marketing campaigns and promotions
- Act as the MENA point of contact for marketing services from the hub and Global Marketing for concept testing and global brand communication.
Agency Management
- Manage, motivate & inspire the key agencies/vendors to deliver outstanding results the team need to accomplish the agreed upon brand & digital strategy and plan
Digital Project Management
- Work together with key stakeholders to define, implement and project manage digital and social media programs and communication plans in MENA that truly supports business goals
- Manage the content selection and publication process through appropriate agencies
- Manage social media strategy and execution in line with country marketing or product manager’s objectives
Digital Skill Development
- Update MENA Marketing team with best practices, case studies and benchmarks in digital, social media and mobile
- Constantly develop knowledge in the digital domain to best support the Client’s leading status in the digital domain
Key Performance Indicators
- Incorporate digital metrics analysis and analytics into strategic frameworks in a way that aligns with business goals and deliver measurable results Track and manage monthly and annual web, mobile digital marketing and social media KPIs and budgets
- Manage all digital web, mobile social media platforms ensuring consistency, information accuracy and efficiency
- Ensure cost efficiency of all digital projects
- Completion of scheduled number of projects across business units and geographies as indicated in marketing plans
Qualifications
- Seasoned, results-oriented digital marketing executive with at least 5 - 7 years progressively responsible experience of digital marketing, with a solid knowledge of social media best practices
- 5-7 years in a marketing function in a corporate, matrixed, preferably global organization, handling responsibilities including brand & media
- Experience managing external advertising and marketing communications agency partners, including digital specialty agencies.
- Bachelors/Degree required and MBA preferred with a concentration in Marketing or Business administration
- Experience in setting a vision for a team and for a company’s digital strategy Domain knowledge and depth of experience in social, mobile, paid and organic search, online display, digital media planning, website engagement and technologies that foster online engagement and response.
- Solid grounding in creating a framework for metrics and technologies for digital measurement
- Strategic thinking and thought leadership with a mindset of innovation, intellectual curiosity and client / consumer insight capability
- Analytical skills and ability to develop quantitative models, e.g. business case, forecasting
