Our client is now recruiting for a Field Operator - Power Block.  You will be directly reporting to the Electric Engineer (Maintenance Manager)/Plant Manager.

Job Summary   

Responsible of carry out the operation of the PV Plant, following Electric Engineer, Plant Manager Instructions or Grid Operator Instructions.

Register the Operation of the plant in the Operation Book, assist to write reports, control of work orders, and cleaning activities, Keep records of the status of the plant.

Roles & Responsibilities

• To carry out the Operation activities at the plant
• To follow the instructions of the Maintenance Manager/Plant Manager
• To register in the Operation Book, the changes and relevant aspects of the operation of the plant.
• To register breakdown situations and communicate to the managers at the plant.
• Provide support to prepare reports of Operation and Maintenance.
• To keep records of the Maintenance activities of the plant.
• To carry out and provide a check list to control the status of the plant
• To register the Energy and Power records of the Production of the Plant
• To communicate any deficiency of the SCADA or deficiency in the communications
• To carry out Grid Operator Instruction
• Follow the HSE procedure, the O&M procedures and the manufacturer instructions
• Assist to the training courses and obtain the adequate certifications
• Operate MV equipment after training and certification
• Learn the necessary skill to supervise the operation of plant through the SCADA
• Help in preparation of reports as per supervisor instructions

Job Specifications

Educational:      

Desired :              Certificate of Higher Education (HNC) Electronic or Electricity

Preferred:           Diploma in Electric Engineering

Minimum Experience

Minimum:          2 Years Electric Operation and Maintenance of Power Plants. Information Technology Knowledge

Preferable:         5 years of experience in Operation or Maintenance of Power Plants in Electric Maintenance, DC/AC inverters or PV Technology

Required Skills 

• Awareness Occupational Health & Safety.
• PV Inverter Maintenance experience
• Operation High Voltage Equipment
• Operation and Maintenance of PV Plants
• Writing and speaking English skills.
• Computer knowledge

Desired certification / Job specific skill / Training            

• Teamwork and cooperation.
• Operation of HV Equipment
• Knowledge of communication Industrial bus interface, ,Ethernet, RS485, Modbus.

Work Condition              

Working conditions will be most of the time in a control room.  Working will require the use of Information Technologies and good English Communication Skills.
