Enterprise Director (Software) Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Job Description The Enterprise Director (Software) will provide strategic leadership and technical oversight for the development, delivery, and management of enterprise-grade software solutions, with a focus on Healthcare Technology Platforms. This role requires deep expertise in software architecture, healthcare interoperability standards, and cloud-based technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure. The Director will lead cross-functional teams, drive alignment with business objectives, and ensure the delivery of scalable, secure, and compliant software solutions as a key member of the organization’s leadership team. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the long-term technical vision and strategy for enterprise software solutions, aligning with organizational goals and healthcare industry standards.
Solution Architecture: Oversee the design and implementation of robust, scalable, and secure software architectures, leveraging microservices, event-driven architectures, and healthcare standards like FHIR and HL7.
Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of technical leads, application leads, integration leads, and other software professionals to foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
Healthcare Interoperability: Ensure seamless integration and data exchange across systems using standards such as FHIR, HL7, CDA, and clinical terminologies (SNOMED, CPT, LOINC).
Cloud Expertise: Drive the adoption and optimization of Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure DevOps, to build scalable and reliable solutions.
Compliance and Security: Ensure solutions comply with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and security standards (e.g., OWASP, OAuth2, SSO), implementing robust API and application security measures.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business leaders, clients, and technical teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with use cases and functional needs.
Delivery Oversight: Supervise end-to-end software delivery, including architecture design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support, using CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Documentation and Best Practices: Oversee the creation and maintenance of comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture designs, API specifications, and compliance records, while promoting industry best practices.
Innovation and Optimization: Stay informed about emerging technologies, industryipeliningtrends, and evolving healthcare standards to drive continuous improvement and future-ready solutions.
Required Skills and Experience
Experience: 15+ years in enterprise software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing large-scale healthcare software projects.
Technical Expertise:
Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure SQL, and Cosmos DB.
Proficiency in designing and implementing microservices and event-driven architectures.
Expertise in healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, CDA, EDI) and clinical terminologies (SNOMED, CPT, LOINC).
Strong understanding of API design, security, and management, including OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and OWASP standards.
Experience with development frameworks and languages such as Java (Spring Boot), .NET, React JS, React Native, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
Knowledge of database technologies, including SQL Server, Postgres, and Cosmos DB, with a focus on performance optimization and data modeling.
Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and tools like Azure DevOps and Kubernetes.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and mentor cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and drive technical excellence in a permanent leadership capacity.
Compliance Knowledge: In-depth understanding of healthcare compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA) and security best practices.
Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Relocation: Currently located in the UAE or willingness to relocate to the United Arab Emirates.
